outdoor wedding ceremony in tennessee

10-10-20 was a big day for weddings in Tennessee! So many couples planned their big day on 10-10-20 without a backup plan for rain. In the days prior to this wedding I watched the weather like a hawk! My stomach was doing flips all morning worrying about the rain and hoping my bride and groom would be ok with the switch in portrait and ceremony areas. Not only were the bride and groom completely understanding and laid back about the rain, but we could welcome it because of the venue space! Sycamore Farms is INCREDIBLE!

It definitely poured buckets on this wedding day, but it certainly did NOT interfere with enjoying their day with family. Sycamore Farms was not only incredibly prepared, but their rainy day back up plan was executed seamlessly. The GM, Kate, was more than accommodating and made sure we knew about all the spots to take advantage of with the rain.

I also have to mention the planner for this wedding, Josiah Carr, with Ninth and Everett. This man is the BEST! I have worked with him several times, and the morning of this wedding we both chatted about the new run-through with the backup rain plan, and knew this day was going to be epic! He handles transitions and new plans with ease, and I really feel like he is the most professional and perfect full service designer and planner!

Cocktail hour was held on the side porch which doubled as a space for groomsmen portraits. The reception was held inside the main area with beautiful draping! I loved having multiple locations to photograph to add more variety into their wedding gallery.

Sycamore Farms was such a great venue to work. They really do have the best backup plan for couples.

Bonus points here…this gorgeous venue recently added a new addition to their property (many couples use it for rehearsal dinners). It was the perfect location for first looks with the bride and her father, and pictures with her stunning bridal party! We had a blast and love Sycamore Farms for any wedding.
